CBS Announces Premiere Dates for NCIS, NCIS Hawaii, and NCIS Los Angeles

After intense recent seasons, CBS’ crime dramas, NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles, return this fall. The broadcast network also announced the release date for the upcoming spin-off series NCIS: Hawaii.

In late May, fans got to see the final episodes of the most recent seasons of the CBS, NCIS, and NCIS: Los Angeles crime drama series.

As previously reported, the original NCIS series will return to fans’ screens in the fall of 2021; and this Monday, CBS confirmed the release date for season 19 of the investigative drama.

NCIS will return to air on Monday, September 20, at its new time 9 p.m. ET schedule. A change in broadcast time, which moved from Tuesdays as it had been broadcasting since its debut in 2003. CBS has reserved it for a complete block of the FBI franchise on Tuesdays.

It’s worth noting that fans will see two new faces in Season 19. Gary Cole and Katrina Law have been announced to join the cast as series regulars. Cole will play FBI Special Agent Alden Park, while Law will reprise her role as Special Agent Jessica Knight, who was introduced in the last two episodes of Season 18 as a recurring guest star.

The NCIS Season 19 premiere will act as an introduction to the franchise’s new series, NCIS: Hawaii. The newest spin-off of the franchise will star Vanessa Lachey as Jane Tennant, the first female special agent in charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor. NCIS: Hawaii will air with its debut on Sept. 20 at 10 p.m.

In addition to Lachey, NCIS: Hawaii will also feature Yasmine Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon and Noah Mills. The new series was developed by Christopher Silber and Jan Nash, who worked on NCIS: New Orleans, which was canceled earlier this year.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, October 10, fans will get to see the season 13 premiere of the spin-off NCIS: Los Angeles at 9pm. It will be followed by the military action drama SEAL Team in its new schedule at 10pm.
