Drones Used to Refuel Fighter Jets for the first time

Boeing and the US Navy successfully tested an unmanned drone to refuel a manned fighter jet, something that had never happened before.

It was all carried out with Boeing's MQ-25 Stingray unmanned giant drone, which transferred about 1,200 liters of jet fuel to an F/A-18 Super Hornet. During the operation, two vessels were only about six meters apart, as shown in the picture above and in the video below.

One of the benefits of refueling fighter jets is that they can remain in the air longer during their missions.. The advantage of using drones for refueling is that there is no need to send manned tankers to war zones, for instance.
