Married at First Sight Australia season 7 originally aired last year on Nine Network, a channel only available Down Under. The same series then aired on E4 in the UK, but are any of the couples still together? Here is everything we know about the relationship status of season seven.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Married at First Sight Australia season 7.
Seb Guilhaus and Elizabeth Sobinoff
Lizzie starred in the sixth season of the reality series, in which she was married to Sam Ball. However, the two decided to end the relationship three weeks after the wedding when he was accused of having an affair with Ines Basic.
She wanted to try one more time to find love and returned for season 7 where she was involved with Seb Guilhaus.
Although the couple made it to the top of the show, they announced in a joint post on Instagram in January that they were going their separate ways.
“We want to thank everyone for the endless support we have received on our platforms.”
Josh Pihlak and Cathy Evans
One couple who did not make it to the end are Josh Pihlak and Cathy Evans, who decided to split up before the series ended.
Cathy disappeared one night after a commitment ceremony and admitted to having trust issues.
Josh said: “It’s all good and well to act like the happy couple on camera, but it should be exactly the same off-camera too.”
Natasha Spencer and Mikey Pembroke
Things never really clicked between Natasha and Mikey during the series.
So it was not too much of a surprise when they broke up and missed the final dinner party with the other couples.
Amanda Micallef and Tash Herz
This couple was MAFS’s very first lesbian couple, and at first it looked pretty good.
But the morning after the wedding, they discovered that there was no “soul-level connection” that they had been looking for.
They ended their relationship early and Tasha is now dating someone new.
David Cannon and Hayley Vernon
This came after it was revealed that Hayley had kissed her co-star Michael.
Hayley wanted to get revenge on David and decided to “stay”, but the experts overruled and asked her to leave.
Chris Nicholls and Vanessa Romito
When they first met, there did seem to be a connection between Chris and Vanessa.
However, it later became clear that there was no spark as the two kept getting into heated arguments that ended their marriage.
Jonethen Musulin and Connie Crayden
There seemed to be some potential with Jonethen and Connie for a while.
But then she called him “immature” and they decided to break up.
Aleks Markovic and Ivan Sarakula
There were several similarities between Aleks and Ivan. She described her new husband as the “male version” of herself.
They were a couple on the show, but in the reunion episode it was confirmed by Natasha that they are no longer together.
She said, “As far as I know, Ivan still loves Aleks very much. And from Aleks, I heard that Ivan has become friends with Mikey, and as we all saw
Mikey is kind of a playboy and Ivan got too caught up in that lifestyle.
“Aleks was like, ‘Why should I move my life away from Perth?’ From what I understand, she’s completely blocked Ivan and does not talk to him anymore.”
Michael Goonan and Stacey Hampton
Stacey was not exactly thrilled when she met her new husband Michael.
Tensions between the pair led to him kissing his co-star Hayley and the couple split.
When Stacey was asked in a Q&A if she would consider reuniting with Michael, she said, “I’d rather swallow acid and die.”
Drew Brauer and KC Osbourne
There was some potential with Drew and KC, as they got along well throughout the process, but in the end they decided to just be friends.
Married at First Sight Australia season eight starts on Monday, October 4, at 9pm on E4.
