NCIS star Brian Dietzen – best known for his role as Dr. Jimmy Palmer on the CBS hit drama – and Tony DiNozzo actor Michael Weatherly have sent the fan community into an uproar after dropping a huge hint about a possible return of Tony and his beloved Ziva.

The love story of Tony DiNozzo (played by Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) was, and still is, one of NCIS’s most compelling and beloved romances. However, with the couple’s whereabouts believed to be in Paris, France, and neither having been seen onscreen together since season 11, CBS viewers have been clamouring for a reunion of the duo with Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and co – and season 19 seems like the perfect opportunity.

Now, Tony’s co-star and former co-star Brian Dietzen, who plays Jimmy Palmer, may have just added fuel to the fire that a comeback is possible.

Dietzen and Weatherly have both appeared in over 300 episodes of NCIS, many of them opposite one another.

But will they cross paths again in Season 19? This week, Weatherly took to Twitter to give a cryptic hint about his time on the show. Along with a photo of Ziva and Tony from the show’s 200th episode, Life Before His Eyes from season nine – Weatherly tweeted, “Let’s just say… they ended up in Paris.”

“Anyone think that’s a possibility? (BTW, filming this scene for ep 200 of #ncis was one of my favorite moments).” (sic)

And while the open question was sufficient to throw Weatherly’s followers into a frenzy, it was an answer from Dietzen that attracted attention.

In his reply to Weatherly, Dietzen wrote the cryptic quote, “‘Ziva loves Paris’.”

It didn’t take long for eagle-eyed NCIS fans to decipher the meaning of the interaction, with a number tipping a Tiva return as a result.

Luz Angela replied: “Hey Brian! Definitely Palmer knows something else… I hope he gives us a sitrep about Tony in a soon to air episode [wink emoji].”

“Are y’all dropping hints about smth or…” Eve pondered, while Jess mused: “A phrase that obviously means more than even the most diehard of us fans understand…yet…”

Janis agreed: “He used present tense when he spoke that sentence. I instantly knew her story, their story, wasn’t done yet!” Sarah also presumes there’s more to come, tweeting: “You’re trying to tell us something aren’t you.” (sic)

“You know something…” Sof teased while Jen rather excitedly added to the discussion: “SCREAMING CRYING SHAKING.”

So could Dietzen and Weatherly be alluding to a shocking return of Tony and Ziva to the States?

Could it be that the two have had enough of life in Paris and decide to go home to reunite with their family and friends? The last time fans heard from Ziva was in season 17 thanks to a message from Tony’s father Tony Sr (Robert Wagner).

Jimmy had informed the team that Tony Sr had travelled to Paris to see his son and soulmate.

Jimmy told the team: “Senior’s still in Paris with the fam,

“Apparently, by reuniting Ziva with Tony and Tali, NCIS has made him the ‘happiest pop-pop’ ever.”

Fans will have to keep tuned in to season 19 to see if Tiva will be back after Weatherly and Dietzen’s exchange.
