NCIS season 19 will be challenging for fans hoping to see a lot more Mark Harmon action, as it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. According to early reports, Gibbs will only be seen in a small portion of the season, and some fans are wondering when the character will show up.
Some NCIS fans are asking when to expect Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to appear, or if he will even come up for a brief appearance. Here’s an idea of the moments he should appear.

The actor will almost definitely make his first appearance in the season 19 premiere of NCIS. After the events of the finale, it feels almost impossible not to include the case of what happened to Gibbs.
If not, he’ll most likely appear in episode two. Many are sure that the first episode, or both, will explain why Gibbs will be more off-screen in the series.
If the show wants to make Gibbs’ search for the truth an ongoing story, they may bring the actor back here and there throughout the season to continue his personal story.

If you’re only in a small part of the stories, it would make sense to spread out the appearances so you don’t feel too absent from the show. It’s also speculated that it would make sense to have him back at the end of season 19.
One thing is for sure, as long as Gibbs shows up in NCIS season 19, you can be sure it will be for very specific reasons and if the producers and writers only have him in a handful of episodes, they will want to make the most of it.
