Starz’s historical drama, Outlander, will soon make its big comeback to screens for season six. After the network released some first-look images with newcomer Henri-Christian, fans predicted a theory Brianna Fraser (Sophie Skelton) and her husband Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin) might join him on the run.
Prior to its release, the series has released some exciting new images, confirming the return of Brianna and Roger. The image also includes a new character, Henri-Christian, and Fans who have read the books, have come up with an interesting theory.
Taking to Reddit, the viewer explained how he imagined the end of season six: ”Wasn‘t there a promo picture with a wet Roger holding a baby near a river? Or something? Maybe this really could be the Henri-Christian storyline.”
This is exactly one of the pictures Outlander posted on their Instagram page. Roger emerges from the water soaking wet with a baby wrapped in a blanket in his arms.
Readers will be aware of the heartbreaking story the series is about to explore, which will highlight the harmful stigmas surrounding disabilities as Henri-Christian was the son of Fergus (Caesar Domboy) and Marsali (Lauren Lyle).
Season 5 ended with Marsali pregnant with her son, however, books reveal that the boy was the couple’s fourth child and was born with dwarfism. Despite his condition, Marsali was fiercely protective and loved him, but the times they were in threatening his existence.
As the series is set in the late 18th century, his disability was a big problem for the people of Fraser’s Ridge, and they saw it as their parents’ punishment for their sin.
As A Breath of Snow and Ashes continues, the novel reveals Henri-Christian’s bullying experiences as a baby. The season finale showed us Roger and his time-travelling wife Brianna trying to return to the future with their son for medical reasons.
Thankfully for fans, production for the upcoming instalment of the series has already wrapped up and network bosses have confirmed the seventh season.
