90 Day Fiancé’s Usman Umar Ends Engagement After Dissing Fiancée Kim Menzies

90 day fiancé’s usman umar ends engagement after dissing fiancée kim menzies

Kim Menzies and Usman “Sojaboy” Umar’s romance hit a wall on Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? as the TLC series wrapped its regular season. Kim and her Nigerian fiancé had a heated argument after Usman criticized her housekeeping skills and her physical appearance. The squabble eventually led to Usman breaking off the engagement.

The couple faced multiple obstacles this season, including Usman’s family’s initial rejection of the couple’s request to marry. The group finally caved to Usman’s wishes but only if he would agree to take a bonus wife who could bear children. That plan wouldn’t fly in the United States, so the couple considered adopting Usman’s nephew, in exchange for giving the child a better life in America.

Kim and Usman’s relationship went sideways when Usman mocked his fiancée’s appearance, wardrobe, and even the way she walked. He tried to apologize, but Kim was not swayed.

“You make me feel so f**king incompetent sometimes, I don’t like that s**t,” Kim said tearfully.

Usman later told a producer that the fight started as he was cleaning up their room after noticing it was dirty. He added that the duo initially laughed it off until Kim became upset over his critical attitude.

“I was in the bathroom getting ready and Usman started nagging me about not cleaning up the room, like, not putting his shoes away and that kind of escalated,” she told cameras. “And then it was just little things like talking about my weight, talking about how I’m going to need a tummy tuck. I don’t know if it was stress, I don’t know if it was tension, I think the adoption thing was in this … it just all came to a head.”

Kim complained that Usman wouldn’t hold a conversation with her, as he was constantly checking his phone. She also called out their lackluster sex life.

“I’m tired of not feeling f**king enough,” she said.

Usman countered by pointing out that he was the person sacrificing the most in the situation because he was giving up the chance to have his own child to keep Kim a solo wife.

“You always feel like you do things,” he noted. “Kimberly, me being with you, is something that nobody in my region would do.”

Kim called his analysis insulting, so Usman suggested that she pack her bags and leave. He told cameras that his fiancée routinely walked away, only to return and apologize later. He declared that he wanted a partner who would give him “peace.”

Kim later came back to discuss the issue, but Usman said that her decision to remove her engagement ring was a sign that he should go home and find a wife within his own culture.

“I pray for you, you should get the best,” he told her. “A man that is going to be better and better than me. I’ll help you with a prayer for that.”

“I don’t see any reason why a woman that is 18 years older than me would be behaving like somebody who is younger than me,” he said, noting that their relationship was “toxic” and “unhealthy.”

He added—“You can’t be telling me f**k me. I don’t think I’ll tolerate any act of, you know, disrespect from anybody.”

Kim admitted that she was hurt, telling cameras that the pair fired off parting shots via a series of nasty texts.

Kim recently told ET that it was Usman who helped her build self-confidence.

“You know, Usman has given me a lot of self-worth,” she told the outlet. “I know you guys don’t see everything, but do you know what it’s like to wake up every single morning and look at your social media and see how ugly I am, how desperate I am? I am going to cry, sorry. How delusional I am, throw-up emojis, I mean, that disgraces me more and my self-worth than anything Usman has done so far.”

Kim clarified that she did call out Usman for some of his unkind remarks.

“I said, ‘How would you feel If I went on there and talked about how skinny you are? How would you feel if I said how I feel about things sometimes?’ You know what I mean?” she recalled. “And I said, ‘Do you know how that makes me feel?’ I was in a mentally abusive relationship before and it was somebody that was calling me ugly or somebody was being very manipulative, you know? And I see that and then he makes these comments and then when I watch them, I’m like, ‘What the f**k?’ … It makes me feel not beautiful.”

“I don’t deserve it, but then when we’re laying in bed, he’s like, ‘You’re so pretty without makeup,'” she added. “You’re so this, you’re so that, so it makes him look like a flip-flopper.”
