The European Parliament has now formally approved a vaccine passport for EU citizens to use if they want to travel within Europe during pandemics. This digital certificate should indicate whether you have been vaccinated, tested negative, or recovered from COVID-19.

According to the European Parliament, the passport will make it easier to travel freely and contribute to the gradual lifting of restrictions in a coordinated manner.

These vaccine passports will go into effect on July 1 and will be valid for a year.
