Meghan 'pulls rank' on Harry as name comes first in 'break from royal protocol'
Meghan Markle's name was read out before her husband's at a Remembrance Day Gala in New York with it being suggested that this could be a break from royal protocol
Meghan Markle appears to have pulled rank on Prince Harry at a Remembrance Day event with what could be a break from royal protocol.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen at the Remembrance Day Gala at Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum in New York for their first black tie event in a while.
However, it was the order in which their names were announced that seems to have stolen people's attention, with Meghan's name and title coming before her husband's.
The event was a chance for the former royal couple to show their faces in support of servicemen.
The announcement of their names came as a shock to many, especially considering Prince Harry is an army veteran himself and was there handing out medals shortly after.
Meanwhile, followers of the royal couple are still waiting to see snaps of baby daughter Lilibet.
Meghan appeared on Ellen DeGeneres's show where viewers were disappointed that she didn't choose the appearance as a chance to show off her little girl.
The 40-year-old also caused a stir on the popular chat show when she took part in a skit which saw her do squats and was told to say silly things at a market stall.
The skit attracted criticism, and even saw her dad call it a "stupid stunt" that made him "wince".
Another extreme bit of criticism saw people call for the Queen to take her royal title off her.
Fans claimed she made a "mockery of British Royalty" in the TV appearance.
One wrote on social media: "Now is definitely the time to strip Meghan of her royal title on the grounds that she is not acting appropriately in public to carry the title that represents the royal family."
