NCIS: Los Angeles will be back this Sunday on CBS with Season 14 and there’s expectation as to what might have happened to Hetty Lange during her secret special mission in Syria. The showrunner advances if this situation could set back G’Callen’s wedding.

NCIS: Los Angeles, CBS crime-action drama will return to fan screens Sunday, October 9 with the season 14 premiere just as the network has scheduled. NCIS Season 13: Los Angeles left Special Agent G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) kneeling before Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly) and asking her to marry him. This is a couple the drama fans wanted to see reunited for a long time, and although it is confirmed that wedding plans are on hold, a possible tragedy could be setting aside the long-awaited moment.

Let’s remember that the cunning and intelligent Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt), NCIS LA operations manager and team leader, is carrying out a dangerous, secret mission in Syria. But, apparently she fell into the hands of ter_rorists and with the season 14 premiere finally G. Callen and Admiral Hollace Kilbride (Gerald McRaney) get some not very encouraging news.

In a video previewing part of the season 14 premiere of NCIS: Los Angeles that was shared last week by CBS, it reveals that a body identified as Trudy Chambers was found. It’s presumed that it could be Hetty Lange’s cor_pse, as this is one of the many aliases she uses while undercover.

As part of the promo ahead of the season 14 premiere of NCIS: Los Angeles, the showrunner R. Scott Gemmill sat down with the TVLine folks. During a recent interview, the producer claimed that G. Callen is excited about the wedding and keeps making plans. But, the question many fans ask, is whether he’ll walk down the aisle in Hetty Lange’s absence and knowing that she could actually be in danger or de_ad.

“He’s looking for venues to celebrate weddings, which isn’t quite right for him… “

“It’s kind of an ongoing story this year in terms of Callen thinking about the wedding and what that means.” He’s someone, obviously, who’s been the typical lone wolf, so it’s something important to try to settle down and be somewhere and open up your life to someone.”

“[Callen] has issues pending and he wouldn’t want to get married without Hetty’s presence. We don’t see that [conflict] in the first episode, but it develops in the first episodes.”

NCIS fans: Los Angeles are worried about Hetty’s situation. In August, Gemmill told TVLine the plan is to go and rescue Hetty at some point and finally find out what she got herself into. Will this be the end of Linda Hunt’s character on the CBS crime drama? Will Callen get married in Hetty’s absence? Fans just have to wait for the premiere of the upcoming episodes to find out what will happen.
