Gibbs, Torres, McGee and Co: If one of them had to die, who would it be? The fans of the long-running TV series “NCIS” were invited to vote, and uncovered a surprising answer.

NCIS” has been on the air since 2003, and fans had to say goodbye to numerous characters throughout the years. The end of Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo weighs especially heavily here, but who could fans do without today? The US portal Looper.com has asked this question and received a surprising answer. Apparently, not all team members are as well-liked as one might think.

The rather controversial poll refers to the Special Agent in Charge Gibbs team: Which character Fans Want Killed Off The Most? Only Americans were invited to participate. The surprising result looks like this:

  1. Nick Torres 23.32 percent
  2. Kasie Hines 19.59 percent
  3. Ducky Mallard 16.42 percent
  4. Timothy McGee 15.49 percent
  5. Ellie Bishop 15.30 percent
  6. Leroy Jethro Gibbs 9.89 percent

It’s hardly surprising that the first two spots have relatively fresh characters. Torres has only been on the show since 2016, and Kasie Hines was only added in 2018 as a replacement for Pauley Perrette‘s character Abby Sciuto. However, Donald Mallard‘s third-place finish is unexpected. After all, he’s been around from the first episode and is reportedly one of the most popular characters – not to mention a good friend of Gibbs’.

Meanwhile, the 15.30 percent who chose Ellie Bishop can breathe a sigh of relief. She had to quit the “NCIS” service at the end of season 18 because she’s going on an undercover mission. Unsurprisingly, Mark Harmon’s character Gibbs remains for the majority of fans, just 9.89% of those surveyed said they wanted the show’s lead off the show. However, he will probably be much shorter in the next season. Weeks ago, it was rumored that he will only appear in a handful of episodes. .
