Paris Hilton is going through unimaginable grief after the deadly California wildfires destroyed her home in Malibu. The businesswoman and celebrity talked about her sadness and determination on social media, offering support to others who were hurt and giving praise to first responders.

“Heartbroken beyond words.💔 Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” Hilton wrote on Instagram.

Seeing a nightmare come true

Hilton revealed the devastating news on Wednesday, January 8th, sharing that she watched the destruction of her home unfold live on television with her family. The Instagram post included a still from a news report showing the damage near the Pacific Coast Highway.

“This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London,” Hilton shared, referencing her two young children.

Because her family just got bigger, the loss is even more painful. Hilton welcomed her son, Phoenix in January 2023 and a girl named London in November 2023. Both of them were born through surrogates. She and her husband, Carter Reum, have two kids together.

A Message of Hope and Help

Despite the overwhelming loss, Hilton's message was about caring about others and wanting to help them.

"My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets. My heart aches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses," she continued, describing the situation as "unimaginable."

Hilton also announced that her 11:11 Media Impact Team is actively working with non-profit organizations to provide aid to those impacted by the fires.

She said, "We're committed to helping people as quickly as possible and making a real difference for those who need it most."

Gratitude for First Responders and a Call for Safety

"True heroes are brave firefighters and first responders who risk their lives to protect us," she wrote.

She urged residents to stay safe, follow evacuation orders, and support one another during this difficult time.

“Let’s protect one another and hold onto hope that these fires will soon be contained. … We’re in this together, LA.✨Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. You never know when everything could change.”

There was a lot of support in the comments section, including a message from Kathy Hilton, Hilton's mother, sweetly wrote, “❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😢😢😢.”

The wildfires have tragically resulted in fatalities and widespread destruction, with the Palisades Fire being classified as the most destructive in Los Angeles County history. As of Wednesday evening, reports indicated significant acreage burned and containment efforts ongoing.
