While preparing for Season 2 of The Mandalorian, there were rumours on the internet that WWE star Sasha Banks would be taking on the role of Sabine Wren, which of course turned out to be wide of the mark. The role of professional wrestler Koska Reeves was not particularly important or crucial to the narrative, but it was still a welcome addition to the ensemble.
Fans were thrilled with her performance and happy to see her become a recurring character in the Disney Plus Star Wars universe, even if there was the inevitable attempt to cancel the series. But the Grappler could herald a return in The Book of Boba Fett, which is set to premiere on December 29.
Even though it’s hardly an overt hint and Banks only posted the first poster on her website Instagram Stories, as ComicBook reports, that’s more than enough to get the rumor mill going, especially when it comes to one of the most hotly anticipated series of the year that viewers will have to wait another three months for.
The Book of Boba Fett is set in the same corner of the galaxy at the same time as The Mandalorian, so it would not shock anyone if Banks’ Koska showed up, or even Katee Sackhoff‘s Bo-Katan for that matter. The latter, after all, is not particularly fond of Temuera Morrison’s titular hero. So the Nite Owls might feel compelled to act, depending on how the bounty hunter implements his plan to bring down Tatooine’s criminal underworld.
