While we continue to wait patiently for Disney+ to release a third season of The Mandalorian, it’s only fair that we turn our attention to another Star Wars series that’s on the way.
Following the live-action debut of Ahsoka Tano in the second season of The Mandalorian, Star Wars confirmed that a female-led spin-off series about the Jedi was in the works – and now we have an exciting update.

Lucasfilm is reportedly looking for an actress to bring the Mandalorian warrior and revolutionary leader Sabine Wren to the big screen (via The Hollywood Reporter), which will astound Din Djarin.
A fighter who joined the early rebellion against the Galactic Empire, Sabine – who appears in Star Wars: Rebels – is also known for her claim to the ancient Mandalorian weapon, the Darksaber.
Who’s in the running for the lead role alongside Ahsoka’s Rosario Dawson remains a mystery, but we can expect to keep our eyes peeled for new casting in the coming weeks and months.

Little is known about the upcoming Ahsoka spin-off, but Rosario Dawson has given her interpretation on why fans like the character so much.
“I love that she’s this wanderer figure who just wants to do good in the universe. The Jedi Order is gone in so many ways, it’s so fragmented, and so many people are the target,” she explained.
“From the beginning, she’s been drawn to be vigilant, courageous, wise, and to always root out evil… She really embodies the best of the Jedi, you know?”
Seasons 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian are now streaming on Disney+. Star Wars : The Rise of Skywalker and the entire Skywalker Saga are now available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K as well as on Disney+, while Rise of Skywalker can also be found at Sky Cinema Premiere and NOW.
