The Witcher Season 2: Netflix Launches Trailer with Witchercon Revelations

The Witcher recently finished filming Season 2, which has been eagerly awaited by fans of the fantasy drama, who haven't seen any new episodes in over a year and a half, when the first episodes were released in late 2019.

Witchercon virtual event opens on July 9

As the next episodes move through the post-production phase, the Netflix platform is releasing a special gift for fans of the drama that follows the adventures of Geralt de Rivia (Henry Cavill) in The Witcher.

This Friday, it announced the first WitcherCon event, which will take place virtually on Twitch and YouTube on July 9. There it will be all things Witcher franchise related, plus some previews of season 2 of the Netflix series, during your big Geeked Week celebration.

With the news, the first preview of the anticipated event has been released, with some surprises and reveals in store, as well as interviews with the show's cast. The post on The Witcher's official account states that:

"The first #WitcherCon starts on July 9! Get ready to step through the portal and join @WitcherNetflix for exciting news, revelations… and some surprises!"

As fans can see, the trailer released Friday shows a combination of images from the games and the Netflix series. There are also new images shown during the event, but the trailer shows them pixelated.

The white outline of the first piece looks like a scene of Ciri, while the last clip shows what could be a scene of Geralt or other Witchers, who will also debut in Season 2 on Netflix in the fourth quarter of 2021.
