YouTube has decided to no longer display ads for political candidates, alcohol, prescription drugs, or gambling in the banner ad at the top of its homepage. Politically charged ads may still appear, but they will be reviewed before they appear.
Since YouTube is one of the most visited sites on the internet and this spot is definitely their most prominent, this is a pretty big decision.
